On this unique 15 Day safari of Uganda you will cross spectacularly beautiful and dramatic Ugandan countryside full of African wildlife before trekking to see the mighty mountain gorillas, certainly a trip highlight! Sanctuary visits, game drives and two cruises are included to see African wildlife like hippo, buffalo, krobs, elephants, warthogs stunning birdlife and hopefully the tree climbing lions in Ishasha. A guided forest walk in Kalinzu Forest allows us see chimpanzees and 6 other varieties of primates in their natural habitat. This is a memorable safari which can enjoyed as a two week holiday or prior to another of our wonderful safaris.

DAY 1 Australia to Entebbe via Johannesburg.
DAY 2 Arrive in Entebbe, the gateway to Uganda. You will be met by your experienced tour guide and transferred to your accommodation in Kampala. D
DAY 3 Journey through the panoramic Luwero Triangle to the Rhino Sanctuary where white and black rhino are raised to be released into the wild. After lunch continue to the stunning Murchison Falls National Park. Spend two nights in the park overlooking the Nile River. BLD
DAY 4 After a cup of coffee take a ferry across the Nile River for an early morning game drive in Murchison Falls National Park to see the ‘Big Five.’ Return to your lodge for breakfast and to relax. The Nile River pours millions of litres through a small gorge forming the breathtaking Murchison Falls. In the afternoon cruise to the base of the falls, while spotting many bird species and other wildlife before hiking to the top. BLD
DAY 5 Visit the fishing village at Butiaba on the shores of Lake Albert on the way to Fort Portal. Stay two nights overlooking a dramatic crater lake and the fabled ‘Mountains of the Moon.’ BLD
DAY 6 After breakfast drive to Kanyanchu Tourist Centre to trek for endangered chimpanzees and other primates in the Kibale National Park; a fascinating experience. Observe them swinging from tree to tree, feeding and playing in your midst. Tour the crater region and visit a tea plantation. BLD
DAY 7 Drive through beautiful farming country and hills covered with banana and tea plantations to Queen Elizabeth National Park, alongside the mystical Rwenzori Mountain Range. An afternoon cruise along the famous Kazinga Channel. This is a scenic treat and one of the best opportunities to see hippo, buffalo, kobs, elephants, warthogs to name a few, plus spectacular bird life. Overnight in Queen Elizabeth National Park. BLD
DAY 8 Observe wildlife on a morning game drive along Kasenyi and Queens Mile and encounter a variety of birdlife returning to their hideouts. Drive through the unique Western Rift Valley escarpment of the Ishasha Sector, partake in an evening game drive in search of tree climbing lions. Overnight in Kanungu District. BLD
DAY 9 Enjoy a guided morning bush walk for a closer inspection of nature. After breakfast another opportunity to see tree climbing lions before heading to Bwindi Impenetrable Forest; home of the mighty mountain gorillas. Stay two nights in the Buhoma Sector of Bwindi Impenetrable Forest National Park. BLD
DAY 10 Viewing mountain gorilla is one of the greatest wildlife experiences. The day begins with breakfast and briefing ready for trekking between 4 and 8 hours over rugged mountain and forest terrain. An hour to cherish, observe and photograph the shy and peaceful primates with the guides and tracker. Spend a relaxing afternoon at your accommodation. BLD
DAY 11 Head to Lake Bunyonyi in Kabale. The afternoon allows time for relaxation and sightseeing around the lake. Overnight in Kagalama Village. BLD
DAY 12 A morning boat ride on Lake Bunyonyi. Visit Igongo Cultural Village. Overnight near Lake Mburo National Park. BLD
DAY 13 Start the day with an interesting game drive in Lake Mburo National Park. You may have the opportunity to spot oribi, Defassa waterbuck, leopard, hippo, hyena, topi, reedbuck and other wildlife. Together with thirteen other lakes in the area, Lake Mburo forms part of a 50 km-long wetland system linked by a swamp. An early afternoon boat ride amidst hippos before returning to Entebbe, overnight at Lake Victoria. BLD
DAY 14 Early morning transfer to Entebbe International Airport. You will start your extension of choice today or depart on your flight via Johannesburg to Australia. B
