The month of August is a great time to travel to South Africa – escape Australia’s Winter and join South Africa’s spring!
This two week safari is a fantastic mix of all things South African. Highlights include several game drives, local attractions, time in beautiful Cape Town and historic Pretoria, artistic towns, spectacular scenery including canyons and mountaintops plus a spot of wine tasting – there is something for everyone in this diverse and exciting safari.
Visit the oldest, largest and one of the best parks in Africa – KRUGER National Park; home to the famous BIG FIVE; African Lion, Leopard, Elephant, Cape Buffalo and the endangered rhinoceros and so much more.
South Africa is full of beautiful valleys and mountains creating an ideal verdant backdrop with dramatic displays of fynbos (shrublike plants) whilst in flower. During July – September, the foliage is less dense, making it perfect for sighting big game and wildlife (and photographing!).
We may be lucky to see, from the shore, Southern Right whales which migrate along the South Africa’s southern coast during July to November.
Extend your stay to include the pretty Garden Route . The extra seven – nine day extension will include wine tasting in the picturesque town of Stellenbosch, coastal scenery with mountainous backdrop, beautiful beaches and historic towns. Bloukrans River Bridge and Storms River set amongst beautiful forest setting of Tsitsikamma National Park. Travel onto Port Elizabeth before enjoying a game drive in Addo Elephant National Park.

At times the safaris were way beyond our expectations! We didn’t expect to see all the animals that we did. We had plenty of time to get photos and time to just admire the animals. Our guide Kobus was exceptional. His knowledge was incredible and nothing was too much of a bother. Always managed to have the vehicles in the right positions for everyone to get great photos

I loved the animals and landscape. The overall highlight was the Kruger experience and not knowing what animal would be around the next corner. Very Exciting! Many thanks for a well organised tour.

Both guides were excellent and very good drivers. The open safari vehicle experiences were so exciting to be able to view the magnificent game. A very regarding safari holiday.
